The National Library of Singapore is now located in a 16-story building, constructed in 2005. Founded in the 1920s at the
suggestion of Sir Stamford Raffles, “the father of modern Singapore,” the original National Library was the first of its kind
in Singapore, located in the same complex as the country’s first school. Today, the library is home to more than 200,000
books and a performing arts center that can accommodate more than 600 guests. The building is adorned with multiple gardens,
providing picturesque views of the city of Singapore. No Records Found
